Adding Buttons in EFB Mode

Please be sure to test any buttons that are created before using them in the field.

FG 3600/5000/4000/7000 (Classic Mode)

  1. Go into EFB (Vertical) mode.
  2. If you do not have an external keyboard you must bring up the onscreen keyboard, because you will not be able to once you enter the start menu editor.
  3. Open the Start Menu and click "EFB Utilities"
  4. Click "Start Menu Editor"
  5. In the Program Name Field put "JeppView3"/"FliteDeck3" (No Spaces), make sure the three is there, if it is not you may have problems running the program
  6. (Skip this step if you are using an FG-4000 in Classic Mode) In the Button Name field put the same thing that was put in the Program Name field (you can add spaces in this field if you want)
  7. In the Program Location field and browse to the location where JeppView3/FliteDeck3was installed, the default locations are:
    • C:\Jeppesen\Jeppview3\Jeppview3.exe (JeppView 3)
    • C:\Jeppesen\FliteDeck3\FliteDeck3.exe (FliteDeck 3)
  8. Hit Add Button
  9. Hit Exit

FG-4000/7000 Enhanced Mode

  1. Go into EFB (Vertical) mode
  2. If you do not have an external keyboard you must bring up the onscreen keyboard, because you will not be able to once you enter the start menu editor
  3. Hit the EFB Utilities Button on the bottom of the start menu
  4. In the Button Name field put "JeppView3" or "FliteDeck3"
  5. In the Program Location field and browse to the location where JeppView3/FliteDeck3was installed, the default locations are:
    • C:\Jeppesen\Jeppview3\Jeppview3.exe (JeppView 3)
    • C:\Jeppesen\FlitDeck3\FliteDeck3.exe (FliteDeck 3)
  6. Hit Add Button
  7. Hit "Show Buttons"
