Heads-Up and ADR Florida Sales Agreement

Advanced Data Research Florida (ADR Florida) and Heads Up Technologies announced today that ADR Florida is now able to resell the certified weather systems integrated on the FG-series Electronic Flight Bag to avionics installers.

This agreement will allow us to sell to the dealers at the same cost as buying from distribution, but with the added advantage of delivering a complete tested system with one PO” said ADR Florida’s Jeff Geraci, Vice President of Business Development. “We want to treat the dealers like end users and deliver an integrated product ready to go” said Geraci. ADR Florida will integrate and test the systems with both weather and GPS functionality prior to shipment. ADR Florida will sell the EFBs and the Heads Up system in a bundle customized for each installation.

“This is a logical partnership because of the value ADR Florida adds to the system integration and their accountability for service”, said David Groos, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Heads Up.

ADR Florida has developed the following innovations for the Heads Up system:

1. Airserve 802.11b connectivity for wireless transmission of the NEXRAD Data. Additional connectivity for GPS from the FMS or other GPS sources is also available wirelessly through Airserve.

2. Assisted in verification of the Dual EFB weather data from one receiver. Via a hard-wired configuration to the FG-Series Flight Bag, this allows for independent EFB weather operation.

Heads Up Technologies designs, manufactures and markets a variety of electronic systems for the aviation industry, including certified receivers to support the XM WX Satellite Weather service.
